Prayer ministry

At Grace Capital City, we believe prayer is one of the most important ways we care for one another and connect with God. We believe God hears us, speaks to us, and meets us in prayer, bringing comfort, guidance, healing, and freedom. Our prayer team considers it a privilege to pray with and for others, listening to the Holy Spirit and standing alongside people in whatever season they are walking through.

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.”
– 1 Timothy 2:1

We offer opportunities to receive prayer during Sunday services where our trained prayer team is available to pray for anything you may be carrying — big or small. Anyone is welcome to come forward during ministry time or after the service to receive prayer in a safe and confidential environment.

We also offer prophetic encouragement in Prophetic Rooms at Hosting the Presence. These are times for our team to listen to what we believe is on God’s heart to strengthen, encourage, or comfort you.

We also offer additional prayer opportunities and can help connect you with trusted prayer ministries and resources if you are looking for more intentional prayer support.

Serving with the prayer ministry team

The GCC Prayer Ministry team is led by staff and supported by trained volunteers who feel called to serve through prayer. Anyone interested in joining the prayer ministry team will go through an application, interview, and training process. We ask that those interested in serving on the prayer team attend Grace Capital City for at least three months to prayerfully discern if this is where God is calling them to serve.
