Membership

We believe membership is intentionally committing to a church community to grow, serve, and live out our faith together. Membership is not just about attending a church, but about belonging to a community, supporting one another, and participating in the life and mission of the church.

is membership for me?

Yes, membership is open to everyone!

If you are new to Grace Capital City, we encourage you to attend Welcome to Grace, our newcomer gathering where you can learn more about the story, vision, and values of our church.

This is a great opportunity to meet staff, ask questions, and learn more about who we are as a community.

  • Being a member is a mutual commitment between you and the church. It means choosing to call this your church home and committing to grow, serve, and participate in the life of the church, while the church commits to care for and support you.

  • Everyone is welcome to attend, get involved, and be part of the GCC community at whatever level feels right for them.

Membership is for those who want to make a deeper commitment to the church and have a more active role in the life and direction of GCC.

Members commit to the church community and are invited into more opportunities to help shape and support the future of our church.

  • Yes, there are member-only gatherings throughout the year where we share vision, important updates, vote on major decisions, and spend time connecting as members of the church.

  • For many leadership roles, especially pastoral and ministry leadership positions, we ask that leaders plan to become members, particularly if they see GCC as their long-term church home.

These roles include, but are not limited to:

    • Leadership Council

    • Community Group Leaders

    • Justice Ministry Leads

    • Sunday Serve Team Leads

    • Discipleship Leads

  • Volunteers are not required to become members, but anyone who feels called to commit more deeply to GCC is invited to consider membership.

A man and a woman are talking to a child on a city sidewalk during the day. The man is bald and smiling, wearing a dark blue shirt. The woman has long hair tied back, sunglasses, a denim jacket, and is holding a small purse. A blue car is parked behind them, and trees and storefronts are visible in the background.
