Creation Care
Creation Care
We believe…
Celebrating and honoring the identity of God as Creator looks like prayerful and prophetic stewardship of all creation. We also lift up God’s identity as “God with Us”. In creation we can experience both identities - appreciating the awesomeness of God in the cascading roar of an unyielding waterfall while also delighting in an intimate greeting with the loveliest little butterfly.
As a community, we believe that this stewardship begins locally, with a community of believers who press in together to hear God’s heart for creation. From there, we take action by building partnerships with those who care and advocate for creation locally, nationally, and internationally.

With All Creation 2023
Listen below to two of our sessions from the conference!
With All Creation is our two-day annual conference hosted by Grace Capital City's Creation Care Justice Ministry to mark Earth Day by celebrating CREATOR GOD! We heard from astrophysicists, justice partners in the area, leaders from our very own CCJM, and so many more. We explored a plethora of new ways to serve our neighborhoods, the nations, and next generations through creation care, and had a lot of fun along the way!
Check out our pictures here!
Film, Fun, & Brunch
The Creation Care Justice Ministry hosted a potluck brunch event on March 25th where the community gathered together to watch a Creation Care documentary, learning about current sustainability efforts and its impact on our not-so-distant future.
We were challenged to consider the resources we have access to individually to prevent climate change, soil erosion, energy depletion, and more to conserve & protect our beautiful earth.
2023 MLK Day of Service
On January 16th, we celebrated MLK Service Day by joining the Pope Branch Park Restoration Alliance and Anacostia Riverkeeper Network for a river cleanup! Grace Capital City along with hundreds of other volunteers picked up 9,609 pounds of trash in 3 hours.
